I love dancing! my favorite ones are Tango, Salsa, and Zumba! I also enjoy Belly dancing and Samba but I have not had the opportunity to learn them. I really enjoy a warm weather, so whenever there is a warm day in Maryland I find it rewarding to do some outdoor activities such as: kayaking, hiking, playing tennis, or just simply reading a play in the park.
About Me
My passion for teaching the French language comes from a lifetime immersion into the French culture, and all the wonderful aspects I was able to familiarize myself with through the Lycée Guebre-Mariam in Addis Abeba, Ethiopia. As a graduate of the Lycée Guebre-Mariam, I had the pleasure of learning to appreciate the many components of the French fine arts: from Molière's plays to Victor Hugo's poetries. I had the opportunity to prove my knowledge and expertise when I obtained my French baccalauréat at the top of my class
I have had the opportunity of maryland/maryland/baltimore">baltimore">tutoring students from elementary to college level French. Among the many approaches I have used, the most successful ones come from my ability to empathize with students learning new languages; being able to speak three languages, and in the process of learning a forth one, I am fully aware of the difficulties that come with the fear of making mistakes when learning a new language. By letting my students know that they will in fact learn more if they are not afraid of making mistakes, I have been able to catch mistakes early on and correct them
To ensure that students acquire the proper help they need in order to do well in their studies, I focus on areas that challenge them, and promote the areas they have already grasped. I find that having an understanding of the student’s personality, interests, and concerns is essential in order to determine the best approach to facilitate learning.
