Fun Facts
I love to be active! When I'm not studying I'm often working out, or spending time in the mountains hiking. I have three sisters, and they are my best friends. We get together every chance we have. I love hanging out with kids, and especially babies.
About Me
I am a freshman at CU Boulder, majoring in biochemistry on a pre-med track. I hope to go to medical school in the future, and become a pediatrician. Last semester I was on the Dean's List with a 4.0 GPA, and in high school I was salutatorian of my graduating class. School is one of my passions, and I always put in extra work to make sure I get the results I want.
Experience
I have been tutoring students younger than me since I was in middle school, when I developed a peer tutoring program to help 4th and 5th graders in math. In high school, I created and ran a tutoring program in a nearby town. The tutoring program included traveling to a local middle school with other high school students (who had GPA's above 3.75), and tutoring middle schoolers in a variety of subjects. I found that many students were receptive to my tutoring style, and enjoyed attending.
Approach
For my whole life, I've loved learning and the "light bulb moment" that comes with discovering new things. I have also loved helping those around me understand new concepts and see them have breakthroughs in learning as well. I believe that learning new things should be exciting, so when tutoring I am always patient, encouraging, and try to help students enjoy their experience. I also aim to make information as clear as possible, so that every concept is straight-forward and memorable.
