Fun Facts

I was one of the first female Boy Scouts in Pennsylvania and was instrumental in teaching the National Youth Leadership training. I also am an certified Emergency Medical Technician and have volunteered on an emergency ambulance for over 4 years.

About Me

I am a graduate of American University in Washington DC. I was on the Dean's List for the last two years of undergrad and graduated Cum Laude overall. I will be attending London School of Economic in the fall for a graduate degree in International Social and Public Policy. I have a strong background and passion in writing, reading, and literature. I am a very flexible, compassionate and patient tutor. I look forward to connecting and learning together!

Experience

I have tutored many students starting as a peer tutor in elementary school to working in the Writing Center in college. I also tutored many different subjects in college ranging from biology, to writing, to criminology. I have worked with student of all backgrounds and learning styles. I will work with you to come up with a learning plan that is focused on outcomes. I look forward to meeting with you to discuss how to best suits your educational needs.

Approach

I absolutely love tutoring and pride myself on being open minded and patient with students. Many of my best teachers and tutors were passionate and positive and I try to mirror their tactics. I find being encouraging is the best way to find academic success. Every person learns differently and my approach is to understand how the student learns and meet them where they are at. I feel a great sense of responsibility to ensure students are learning the materials and future study skills.
