I moved to China after I got my master's in NYC.

About Me

I am a graduate of NYU, majoring in ESL Teaching. I have been teaching English in both NYC and Beijing. I'm also teaching Mandarin and Chinese culture.
I was born and raised in Beijing, China and I am fluent in Mandarin-speaking, writing, and reading.
I got my master's degree in TESOL.
I got my GRE score 323/ Quant score 170.
I like to communicate with my students and adjust my class based on their needs and interests. My schedule is flexible. Feel free to contact me and talk about your needs

Experience

I grew up in Beijing and came to New York City for my master's degree in TESOL at NYU. I have been teaching in both Beijing and NYC. I taught elementary students when I was in Beijing. After I came here, I have been teaching at Laguardia Community College and volunteering my time teaching immigrants at community centers.

Approach

As a tutor, I attempt to establish a safe and encouraging space for my students. In this space, they can explore with the necessary assistance and make mistakes without feeling guilty. I encourage them to find their insufficiencies and make improvements on top of that.
