Fun Facts
I was born and raise in Palm Harbor, FL and subsequently moved to UT following entering High School, and have been a part of massively different communities consequently, but have learned to appreciate both. I thoroughly enjoy Basketball and continue to play in my free time ever since graduating high school. I enjoy cooking despite being a huge novice, and I value living a healthy lifestyle.
About Me
I am a Sophomore science/utah/sandy">Computer Science Major at the University of Utah. Was initially in the biomedical engineering program, but switched after my spring semester of my Freshman year. I attended Hillcrest High School and graduated from the IB program. Participated in 2019 HackTheU and won the Financial Technology working in a small team with my contribution being coded in Java. I hope to one day have tied down a job within a subdivision of software development that I would enjoy doing day after day.
Experience
I have tutored different college students in helping develop computer programming projects in entry level Object-Oriented Programming courses in Java. . I have helped peers/friends in college math courses in my free time. I also have 2 years of customer service experience and know how to properly interact with clients professionally as a result.
Approach
I always respected teachers/professors that were both passionate and connected to their course subject areas. These aforementioned instructors were always able to keep me engaged and interested in learning. Patience and being passionate about my subject areas to teach other is paramount. I however, do not believe good instructors are the only thing students need to succeed, I think developing smart habits about how students handle coursework and prepare for tests is a big part of success.
