I am currently in college working on my bachelors degree in social work. I enjoy reading and writing poetry as well as short stories and graphic novels. I enjoy learning and I hope to pass on my love of reading to others.

About Me

I would describe myself as a people person as well as a good listener. I am passionate about helping people I believe that it is my calling to use my life to help make a positive impact on the world. I am a planner I like to set goals for myself and check them off as I accomplish them, I don't have to go in a specific order or time table but I don't like wasting time in inactivity.

I have had many different types of bronx">tutoring experiences and I can honestly say that I have learned equally from each type of student, the active participant, the passive whatever student, and at times the most challenging the student that is forced to attend a bronx">tutoring session. I have had success in all areas but the one I take the most pride in would have to be the most challenging because at the end the student comes to realize that they did need help and they are doing better in school because they took the time to improve their skills in a productive way. I like the thrill of knowing that I helped the student in most need of assistance, I like knowing that I made a difference in the way that student has looked at learning and will look at learning for the future.

As a bronx">tutor I believe it is best to be helpful, attentive and encouraging to the students. I tend to find out what the student is struggling with or having a hard time understanding, and turn it around. My best experience as a bronx">tutor would have to be helping a student I was working with start to like reading instead of hating to read. I believe that every student has the ability to excel in school they just need the right person behind them and the right approach to understanding the material given.
