Fun Facts
One passion people quickly learn about me is that I LOVE video games! Any time I have a chance, you will find me playing or trying new games. I am an only child, and have never broken a bone. Although I am horrible at it, I enjoy singing and dancing. Someday soon, I hope to learn to windsurf.
About Me
I am a two-time graduate from Johns Hopkins who recently earned a Master of Science in Public Health in Global Disease Epidemiology and Control in May 2019. My ultimate goal is to become an OB/GYN who focuses on global women's health research in genetics. Currently, I am studying to take the MCAT and hope to start medical school in Fall 2021.
Experience
During my undergraduate years, I became a tutor in Calculus and Organic Chemistry for the Johns Hopkins Learning Den. Over the next four years, I gained lots of experience tutoring elementary, middle, high, and graduate school students too. I love tutoring so much that I decided to make my tutoring business official and registered for an LLC in the state of Maryland. Now, I am the proud CEO of uTutor, LLC!
Working with Frog Tutoring helps me show more students how fun learning can be.
Approach
NO QUESTION IS DUMB!
I remember feeling dumb while at JHU and my lack of self-confidence eventually led me to fail Organic Chemistry in my sophomore year. After retaking the course, I realized I had true potential to succeed, but only when I believed in myself. Ever since then, I made an oath as a tutor to never use the words "dumb", "easy", "stupid", or anything else that causes students to lose self-confidence. I focus on the coursework but more importantly, confidence building.
