I am a nerd and proud of it. I enjoy anime and pc gaming (Overwatch). I love board games and Saturday night I get together with friends to play. I try to get out and golf though I am still getting used to Texas weather.

About Me

California and Texas credentialed teacher with 12 years of in class experience. I have been a tutor/teacher since college. I won't just observe your child as they do their homework because I plan to teach. As your child's teacher, I will be able to implement best teaching practices in a one on one setting. I am capable of teaching, reteaching, reinforcing skills in an effort to establish mastery of concepts. I can provide supplemental activities for additional practice. It is my goal to help my students gain the study habits, mastery of concepts and most importantly confidence so that my services will be temporary rather than long term.

Experience

I have been a tutor since 2001. I started as a tutor at California Lutheran University and was later promoted to department assistant, I have tutor on and off from 2006-2018 because I focused more on my classroom instruction. I recently moved to Cedar Park and I am looking forward to tutoring here.

Approach

With my background as a high school teacher, i will be able to teach, reteach or reinforce the knowledge that my students already have. I will focus on building skills rather that sitting there an helping with homework. That was one of my frustrations in California, tutors that were not actually helping students progress.
