Fun Facts
After work, I'm usually doing yoga or running around the neighborhood. I've even ran a couple half marathons (one in DC), and I plan to run a full marathon in Japan! I also love to cook. In particular, I love recreating Asian vegan dishes that my grandma used to make.
About Me
I graduated from UC Berkeley in May 2019 with a 3.7 (Psychology and Media Studies double major and Public Policy minor). I wrote my honors thesis on the correlation between conceptual and procedural understanding of fraction division. I am currently working in the education policy department of a think tank, and I hope to do a PhD Education Technology.
Experience
In high school, I tutored my peers twice a week in Statistics and Calculus. I also provided students in Columbia Heights EC with one-on-one help on their college application essays. I am eager to tutor a students again and I confident I'll be able to give them the guidance they need through Frog Tutoring.
Approach
I moved from Taiwan to the US when I was 10 years old without knowing a word of English. After my ESL teacher taught me how to read, I took the initiative to read a book every two days to quickly improve English. I soon graduated top of my high school with colleges to choose from. I know what it feels like to behind in class, but I also know that anyone improve and catch up. Through patience and encouragement, I hope to help every student make the improvements I know they're capable of making.
