Fun Facts
I spend a lot of my days with my standard poodle Oliver. When I'm not playing video games I am out with friends. My other interests include reading, Dungeons and Dragons, and writing.
About Me
I am a sophomore English major and minoring in psychology at Washburn University. I tend to call myself a poet and my writing is my passion. When I graduate I plan on pursuing a masters degree in Library Studies. My real goal is to tell my story through my poetry and inspire others.
Experience
I have worked at the Washburn University Tutoring and Writing Center and have experience tutoring college level writing. I also worked as a journalist for a year. So I am familiar with APA and MLA citations.. Many of my classes teach how to look at other's writing and constructively criticize in order to build up our fellow classmates which flows over into my work as a tutor.
Approach
My favorite part of tutoring is seeing the difference I make and watching students grow. I want to help others reach their full potential and encourage them to follow their dreams.

Psychology Tutoring
I am minoring in Psychology and have a well rounded knowledge base. Combined with my skills and strategies as tutor I can help students learn the information and study skills they need.
AP English Tutoring
I took AP English courses in high school. I also have experience tutoring at the college level. I know and understand how to prepare for the AP test. AP classes are all about preparing high school students to take on college and that's what I want to do. I'm here to help students be successful.
Computer Science Tutoring
I have always been naturally good with computers. I can talk students through processes and walk them through programs to help with assignments. I will also help them find resources and come up with fun engaging activities to help reiterate and practice their computer skills.
Study Skills Tutoring
As a college student study skills are an important part of being successful. I am prepared to assess and find the best method for students to study. Each student learns in different ways and I want to coach students to find the best way they learn.
