Fun Facts

I spent my childhood growing up on Long Island, playing lacrosse, sailing, and swimming. I spent most of my summers as a lifeguard and swim instructor at a local day camp. In college, I was a D1 athlete at Binghamton University. I absolutely love animals and I have two dogs and had two horses growing up. After I graduated undergrad, I spent 6 months traveling to 14 different countries where I was exposed to all different cultures and people. I love to read, write, and go for runs when I can.

About Me

I am a third-year law student at Brooklyn Law School and I will be graduating in May 2020. I am an Executive Articles Editor for the Brooklyn Law Review and I will be having my note on prosecutorial misconduct published at the end of April. I really enjoy working with people, especially children. I babysit and tutor local kids in Brooklyn at least three times a month. I am a great communicator and I am really looking forward to getting to know my students.

Experience

Throughout high school and college, I worked as a tutor for kids ages 5-17 which covers all different levels and abilities. I was also in a program in high school where I would travel with my peers to Nicaragua and teach English there for two weeks every year. I love to read and write and I have spent a lot of my time tutoring focusing on writing and English. I also have experience tutoring children with special needs.

Approach

I have had so many wonderful teachers and tutors in my life and I like to take positive things from each of them and emulate them in my tutoring style. I believe that every student is truly unique, so I alter how I teach depending on what will make the student comfortable and make our time together as productive as possible. I believe in positive encouragement and patience.
