Fun Facts
I love learning new things, in my free time I read a lot books, or research scientific topics I have an interest in, often involving insects or other biological topics, as well as psychology! I also love animals of all kinds! I used to work in a biology lab where i would help take care of the reptiles. I have a cat and 3 hermit crabs that are my own and my family also has 2 dogs and a whole lot of cats! I also craft handmade jewelry as a hobby, that I occasionally sell at local craft fairs
About Me
I am a pre-med senior at Texas A&M University Corpus Christi, double majoring in biomedical sciences and psychology, and minoring in chemistry, I’ve been on the Dean’s list more often than not, my current GPA is 3.6. Once I graduate i plan to travel to Kenya for a semester to work in a methodist hospital in Maua, and then go to medical school back in Texas. My end goal is to become a missions doctor in Kenya, where I have been a few times in the past.
Experience
I have been houston">tutoring my peers since my junior year of high school. Last year I worked in the life science department of my University as a lab instructor for biology, and I currently work as a houston">tutor for the student athletes at my university, as well as volunteer houston">tutoring for children at Andrews AFB Library in Maryland, and this upcoming semester I will be a lab TA for general chemistry as well. I have experience houston">tutoring students of all ages, from elementary school to college!
Approach
Not all students are the same, so my houston">tutoring approach varies to some extent form student to student depending on their learning style and age. I try to find what learning style works best for them and use that to help them understand topics better. It’s important to be encouraging no matter what, and I have several study skills to aid all kinds of students depemding on their learning type.
