About Me
My ultimate goal is to be a education/california/san-jose">special education teacher for high school students. I will be starting my teaching credential program this fall and I am very excited. I graduated summa cum laude with my bachelor's degree in psychology in 2016, and my master's in psychology in 2019.
I have 7 years of tutoring experience. I have tutored at two colleges, a high school, and most recently at a learning center for k-12 students. I love working with students of all ages and I hope to help them succeed!
Experience
I have had 7 years of tutoring experience. I have worked as a tutor at two colleges, a high school and, most recently, at a learning center that worked with students in k-12. I absolutely love tutoring, and I credit my desire to become a teacher to the wonderful jobs I have had working with students of all ages.
Approach
As a child, I was very shy and was often hesitant to ask teachers for help. In 10th grade, I went to my first tutoring session and I really enjoyed my time there. It was so helpful to have someone explain concepts to me in a different way outside of my school. Since then, I became interested in tutoring because I wanted to provide students with extra help in their classes. I am very patient and flexible with how I discuss concepts, as one way may not work for every student.
