Fun Facts
I love to travel and explore new places. I recently went to Ghana, Africa last winter break as a volunteer/service trip. There we set up a clinic and looked at hundreds of patients, giving them basic medical care that often times is out of reach. I am now a leader of the next trip to Ghana next winter and am looking forward to all the responsibility that comes with that type of leadership position.
About Me
I am a freshman at Drexel University. I have accumulated a 3.89 GPA and have made the deans list for all terms. I one day hope to pursue a career in Medicine.
I have previously worked and tutored at a Kumon Learning Center near my house. I worked there for 3 years before leaving to go to college. I especially love working with younger kids and seeing their growth and excitement as they learn. I also informally tutored a few times in high school.
I have a very hands on approach, only providing help when the student has really tried the problem. Often times, there is only a single mistake or a simple misconception. These are easy to find if the student completes the work in front of you. They feel more independent and are more willing to work if they feel they can complete the problems themselves. I engage the student in learning by asking questions and having exercises.
