I am a first generation, Egyptian American. I am an athlete and played basketball since I was 4 years old! I love to travel. I just got a puppy!

About Me

My name is Deena Mohamed and I am a third year medical student at Indiana University School of Medicine. I have two bachelor degree's, BS in Biology from Purdue University and BS in Aviation from Indiana State University.

I hope to find out what speciality I'm passionate about, but right now I don't know what type of physician I want to be. All I know is that I want to travel the world!

Experience

I am very passionate about helping students, especially URM, to achieving their dreams. I don't think there is one path to any field. I am involved in many extracurricular activities that reach out to the youth in the surrounding city to become their mentor. I also used to Sub-teach at the local high school. I am a tutor for the MCAT at IUSM.

Approach

I approach each subject differently. I try to make the material as simple as possible, by drawing out, or explaining things in a way that students can understand. I bring my best attitude and I want the students to learn!
