Fun Facts

Two passions people quickly learn about me is that I love to hike and play tennis. If I'm not playing at a tennis court, you can find me training at home with a harnessed tennis ball that bounces back to me! I've also enjoyed skiing since I was 9 years old. I am the older sister of a music producer and performer. I have travelled to 4 continents. I'm also quadrilingual.

About Me

I have a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Chapman University. I also having my teaching credential in Adult Education, from University of San Diego, with authorization skills in Post Secondary Basic Skills, English,
My ultimate goal is to become an Algebra instructor.

Experience

As a college student, I had the opportunity to tutor students, from Kindergarten to 8th grade, with some students diagnosed with Autism, at OC Children's Therapeutic Arts Center. I'm eager to continue working with students again. Ultimately, I have the zeal of filling in my tutors footsteps who made a great impact on tailoring my learning skills. Working for Frog Tutoring gives me the opportunity to accomplish that, while making a long term difference in students' lives.

Approach

I believe in the self-fulfilling prophecy, that by giving students more than they expect, you will get back more than you ever expected. As a student, I struggled understanding lectures in class. I believe that every student has a predominant learning style. I believe in utilizing a learning style that fits each students needs most, like auditory, visual, and kinesthetic learning styles. I also believe that utilizing secondary learning styles help students further reinforce what they learn.
