Fun Facts

I love spending time in the outdoors and I enjoy playing sports. My girlfriend and I met playing in a flag-football league and I also play soccer in a men's league. During my breaks as a teacher in the summer, I love to travel as much as possible. Last summer I spent 3 weeks learning Spanish in South America!

About Me

Bonjour! My name is Matt! I am currently a certified French teacher in the state of Texas. I lived and taught English while living in France for two years. While abroad, I earned my DALF C1 Diploma from the Ecole d'Ingnieurs de PURPAN! I have experience tutoring children as young as 4, all the way to adults. I can't wait to meet you soon!

Experience

I have experience working with students across all ages in a variety of contexts. While in France, I tutored elementary, middle and high school students. I even worked with some college students and adults on improving their English. I have also been a soccer and swim coach.

Approach

My approach is to make learning combine an engaging learning environment with a goal-based focus constantly in mind. I like to start off by really getting to know the interests of my student. As I get to know the student and parent we work together to assess where the student is and what are our goals for that student. Building a road map allows me to create engaging activities for the student that align with the student's goals!
