Fun Facts

I am interested in physical fitness, so much so that I can try to get in a workout every day and hope to ultimately start my own gym in the future. The beach is my second home and I dream of owning a beach house one day. I am an avid Denver Broncos fan since I was little, even though I was born in San Diego and into a San Diego Chargers family. I have never been abroad but plan to go to London for study abroad this summer!

About Me

I was born in San Diego, California where I attended a private Catholic high school. I am currently a sophomore at portland">University of Portland where I am double-majoring in Accounting and Finance. I plan to take the CPA exam after I graduate and become a Certified Public Accountant.

In high school, my name would be referenced by my math teachers because of my grasp of the material and I would constantly help other classmates in understanding math. In college, classmates would frequently ask to study with me in math and financial accounting. In my job in the business office on campus, I plan to volunteer to portland">tutor in certain courses. I look forward to professionally portland">tutoring as a Frog portland">Tutor because I enjoy helping other students understand concepts and it helps me as well.

Throughout my education, I found the best way for me to understand material is to use all resources available to me. This includes taking good notes in classes, always asking questions, carefully reading the material, and collaborating with other classmates. Maintaining an environment that helps me study is also essential. I always like to start from the beginning and learn step-by-step. If anything doesn't add up, I go back and try to find the error. When portland">tutoring, I like to outline the problem-solving process step-by-step and confirm comprehension of the material constantly. I find example problems and redoing them is one of the best ways to remember how to do a problem.
