I enjoy singing and composing. Swimming doing yoga (I am great at shersasana, standing on the head) In addition I like serving at my temple and volunteering and playing with my grandkids.

I like folk songs of Bengal called Baul Gaan, and reading the short stories of all classical novelists from India, Europe, and the Americas.

About Me

My passion for teaching is a great asset even though I am a professional chemical engineer. My patience and innovative ways to simplify difficult concepts make me a great tutor. My connection with industry makes me relate the information to practical use and application of the concepts rather than just bookish knowledge.

I learned all my school subjects mainly from my father. He taught me literature, Math, and science.

Although I studied science, arts and literature were my favorites.

Experience

I am a professional chemical engineer and held many senior-level positions as senior engineering at companies like Dow Chemical, union carbide to name a few. In addition, I have taught at Houston comm. college, Univ. Of Houston and tutored students in math, science and SAT ACT prep courses.

Approach

I had some great teachers as I was growing up. My father was a Bengali language professor but had great writing ability in the English language and Sanskrit. He was a great mentor and helped me a lot. I am thankful for the great teachers in my life when I struggled.
