I have been doing improvised comedy for four years! I love improv because it encourages you to explore possibilities, support your teammates, and have fun. Currently, I'm on a team at CU Boulder called Left Right Tim. You can see us every Friday at 830!

About Me

Hello! I am a student at the University of Colorado - Boulder studying Chemical and Biological engineering. I am in the Engineering Honors Program and a 2019 Boettcher Scholar. I love applying science to solve real-world problems. My ultimate goal is to earn an MD-PhD.

Experience

Throughout high school, I tutored peers in formal and informal settings. I discovered a love for explaining concepts and thinking about problems in new ways. In my senior year, I created an educational tool which lead me to think about the learning process and ways to include diverse learners.

Approach

As a tutor, I like to make sure students know the "why" behind the answer, not just the "how". This is especially important in STEM fields and for growing a love of learning. However, we can only get to the "why" after the student feels prepared and motivated to learn. I bring positivity, empathy, and enthusiasm to every session.
