Fun Facts
Born in Atlanta, I LOVE sweet tea and peaches! On my second birthday my parents, brother, and I moved overseas, and together we have visited every continent except Antarctica (something I hope to change once I graduate). In high school , not only was I an all-american cheerleader, but I was in the top ten female shot-put athletes in the state of Arizona. I am bursting with ASU Sundevil pride and proudly wear my maroon and gold!!
About Me
Currently, I attend Arizona State University as a Biochemistry major in the Pre-Medical program. Not only am I involved academically, but I am an active member of the ASU chapter of Habitat for Humanity. Upon graduating, it is my goal to attend medical school and receive my M.D. . Science and people are my passion, and I am eager at any opportunity to combine the two.
As a member of the National Honors Society, a student in numerous A.P. courses, and a leader in my school, I was always a phoenix">tutor and mentor to my peers at my college-prepatory high school. As I further my education, the same holds true with my peers at ASU. Frog phoenix">tutoring is the perfect opportunity for me to become not only a phoenix">tutor but a mentor to my surrounding community.
It is my philosophy that there is no subject any student cannot learn. Every student is different, so my approach changes to best suit the student. Wether the approach be more classical, involves technology, or includes physical movement, I always adapt to what is most effective and encouraging. Having a brother with learning disabilities, I know what it can be like for a student when people academically "give up" on them. It is my goal to NEVER give up on my students.
