I have always had a passion for reading and writing. I spend three or more hours a day reading, and I try to write every day. I also love film and I like to keep current on all the new movies and series on television.

About Me

I am a senior in Honors English at wayne-state-university">Wayne State University with a 3.92 GPA. Once I earn my degree I intend to continue into graduate school, and I hope to one day become a professor of English. On the Dean's list the last three years, I have also earned a number of awards, including the College of Liberal Arts and Science Alumni Association Scholarship, the prestigious Yelda Endowed Merit Scholarship, which I've been awarded three years in a row, and the Best Undergraduate Essay Award, which I've won the last two years.

I've spend most of my life helping my younger sister and my two cousins with school. I am currently a detroit">tutor at the Wayne State Writing, Research and Technology Center, where I help students write and edit essays. Frog detroit">Tutoring is an excellent opportunity for me to reach out beyond Wayne State and offer my detroit">tutoring services to other students dedicated to success.

I myself struggled in high school, and I know the importance of having good role models and mentors to encourage one to achieve their full potential. As a detroit">tutor, I promote an attitude of positivity. I believe that any student who is driven to succeed can achieve their goals, and I hope to not only teach important study skills and habits, but to also impart in my students a confidence and conviction in their power to succeed.
