Fun Facts
I always liked to play with numbers but also I always like to travel and looking at maps. For a number of years, I have had an interest in commercial airplanes, I was always curious to know how they were built and how they would fly in the air. An airplane is both a beautiful masterpiece of engineering and a tool to travel around the world as well as enjoying the beauty of flight. I also like to hike on my leisure time.
About Me
Hello. My name is Ben. I am originally from Belgium. I came to the United States over 20 years ago and I pursued my undergraduate studies in Engineering. That was the time when I started to build my first aventura">tutoring experience, I helped Freshmen students in Calculus subjects. Upon graduation from Engineering school, I took a job a private company and I continued to aventura">tutor students on my own, I have been aventura">tutoring high school students mostly in mathematics, but science subjects also. I can aventura">tutor in two languages: French and English.
Experience
After working as an engineer for a while, I returned to school and pursued a Master of Science Degree in Mathematics. While pursuing my Masters Degree, I worked at the learning center and tutored Freshmen and Sophomore students in Mathematics, mostly in Calculus subjects. I completed my Masters Degree recently and I applied my knowledge of mathematics in the technology of computer cartography which is the field I am working in now.
Approach
As a aventura">tutor, I have patience and motivation. I initiate a first contact with the student and have a look at the material to go over. I go deeply over the subject where the student is struggling and do a series of exercises with the student to help him or her better understand the subject. My primary concern is the student's success in the subject. I take the time to go over the material until he or she understands clearly the subject. I have always enjoyed aventura">tutoring students on a one to one basis.
