One of my hobbies is to write and illustrate comics. Although I love reading and viewing comics and books alike, I would rather think up my own story and share it with others. I love learning new languages and currently I know three! I am very enthusiastic when it comes to helping others.

About Me

I am a Freshman at wayne-state-university">Wayne State University majoring in Chemical Engineering with a concentration on Products and Process, and minoring in Chemistry. I am a part of the Detroit Urban Scholars program as well as a part of the Honors College! My goal is to complete my Bachelors in my field, possibly going for a Masters as well.

During my Junior year in high school, I participated in KALES ACT Preparatory Institute at wayne-state-university">Wayne State University where I was primarily taught how to tackle the ACT. I had one of the higher ACT scores, which allowed me to help detroit">tutor the students with lower ACT scores. This was when I first learned that I loved helping other people academically. This led me to intern and worked for Primon detroit">Tutoring Services for a little over two years. I hope I can help even more people with the help of Frog detroit">Tutoring!

Whenever I had help understanding subjects outside of school, I was told to just "work it out." But that doesn't work all the time. Proper help is needed to understand a concept or idea better. This struggle, along with the help of very good professors I have had, lead me to develop my detroit">tutoring method. I explain a problem and dissect it into parts. I then explain how these parts work together to bring the solution. After I explain how to get the solution, I would ask my student to apply what I showed the, to find the solution. With this method, I can clearly see where my student is struggling and help him or her effectively. I hope I can help a lot of students to become successful in their studies!
