About Me

I am a VDDV Engineer at General Motors, I have lived all over the united states, so I use my vast experience to talk and connect with different people. I take the opportunity to learn form everyone.

Experience

I have a long history as a tutor, predominantly in mathematics. I have done peer tutoring, where I tutored students taking college algebra and calculus classes I received an A in. I also tutored high school students in a classroom setting on math, and assisted them with homework. I also occasionally reviewed material in a lecture format. Lastly I have assisted high school kids on team projects to build sorting robots on 2 different occasions.

Approach

As a tutor I try to connect with the student to understand how they learn, what they like, and how the process information. Once I have identified this I look for the gaps in there understanding. At this point I will highlight this area for them. I show them the importance of what they don't understand as it relates to the subject matter; to bring there focus and attention to it while we are actively practicing.
