Hello, my name is Austin Peterson born and raised in Michigan, and I love our crazy weather. I think I am a big picture type of thinker and that allows me to be flexible and helpful to others because I want to always remain on top of my game. My future career plan is to get a doctorate of education and pursue art therapy; this way I can explore both my creative and educational passions.I'm a very simple guy who has a clear mind and loves to paint, and I'm only going forward in life.
About Me
As a 4th year psychology student, I am driven to discover what it is that makes people happy and successful, and then share that with those around me. I have found we all want fulfillment, for that one needs achievement; the most significant achievement possible is to help others.
Experience
In high school, I tutored both biology and geometry with students in need. On top I later joined my Spanish Honor Society to become president, joined student council, and the National Honor Society. These programs were intensely encouraged community service and assistance until helping others has become second nature. I have extensive experience with art in multiple mediums including paint sculpture and digital design. I have been crazy studious all my life and that is never going to change.
Approach
When I am working with a student or editing writing, I use nothing but positive reinforcement because I never wish to impose myself on anyone else. My way of helping will often include looking at the problem from a different direction to understand it, and I always break things down to the most easy to understand pieces. Much like drawing, I know that studying is a process and not an instant success. It is a series of steps and I have the patience and experience to guide people across them.
