Fun Facts
I am a social butterfly and I love to meet new people! My absolute favorite novel is The Bell Jar, by Sylvia Plath. A quote that I like to live by is “Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it” by Charles Swindoll. Being of help to others is one of my top passions and I strive to take such opportunities whenever they are presented to me!

My specific expertise is in the application of Writing/Reading Skills for the mastery of effective discussional communication, with a wide array of English/Language Arts subspecialties e.g.) Reading Comprehension, Study Skills, & various Writing techniques for a wide array of genres.
Approach
Growing up with ADHD, I have a deep understanding of the difficulties that students of all ranges may have with their work. Interestingly enough, though, when it came to reading, writing, & grammar, my passion was so strong that at times I actually found myself at peace whilst studying such subjects. As a tutor, I am driven to not only enhance students' study skills, but to create an environment where students build knowledge and gain confidence both inside and outside of their academic realms.

In my high school senior year, I received the AP Scholar Award in English Literature and Composition. I have also received the first place prize in the city of Tustin’s 14th Annual Student Essay Contest. My additional background in Writing class/writing-required-discourse classes at the University of California, Santa Barbara greatly improved my communicational writing skill-sets.
Study Skills Tutoring
Being at the college level, I have developed study skills beyond that of which I would have ever imagined having attained during my former years of education. There are subjects that I have had struggles with, but because of my study skills, I was able to tackle those numerous academic challenges up to today. Whatever subject it may be, acquiring study skills has truly shaped my academic career--and that is something that I would love to be able to share with students.
Writing Tutoring
In my high school senior year, I received the AP Scholar Award in English Literature and Composition. My essay score for the SAT rose above the 99th percentile statistic as well. My additional background in Writing Classes/Writing required classes at the University of California greatly improved my communicational writing skill-sets.
Writing Advance Tutoring
When it comes to advanced writing, students must be able to tackle all types of writing, whether it be in the multiple types of essay formats, poetry, analytical writing, and all other types of prose. Such formats may seem intimidating at first, however once taught properly, students will find themselves becoming naturally articulate writers with a nice touch of their very own writing styles. As far as my qualifications, I received a nationally ranked 99th percentile SAT essay and writing score and have written all types of essays at the University level.
Reading Comprehension Tutoring
Having struggled with ADHD during my K-12 years, I found it extremely difficult to pick up a book and be able to focus; however, with time and effort spent, I was able to finally reach a point to where I achieved the ability to fully immerse myself into my literature so much to the point to where my reading comprehension skills began to even enhance my writing skills! When I reached university level reading, I not only acquired full on reading skills; I was then able to learn the art of reading analysis techniques that were applicable not only in the classroom, but in the real world as well. Many students at the university started at a "level 1" type of course as a default, however I was able to bypass it and move on to the next advanced course.
